Proceeds of the event will go to The Ivey Eye Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital for purchase of equipment used in identifying and treating eye disorders. The $15,000 donation from the 2015 Fight for Sight was presented. 

Doors opened at 4:30 with dinner served at 6:30 pm at the Portuguese Club of London 134 Falcon St. London. 

There was spirited bidding for the live auction items. 


This lucky couple will spend 14 days in January 2017 (Jan. 12 - Jan. 26, 2017) in  Hawaii. The “Big Island, will be their destination. It’s called “The Big Island” for a reason, and the holiday includes two bedroom fully equipped accommodations on both sides of the Island.  The holiday starts with four days on the Kona coast at Sea Village Resort.

Then they will  head to the other side of the Island for 6 magical days. Situated on the southeast coast of the Big Island, Sea Mountain Resort is steps away from the legendary Punalu'u Black Sand Beach and its seasonal inhabitants—the endangered hawksbill turtles. 

The holiday will finish off  with another 4 days back in Kona at Sea Village Resort. Return airfare for 2 provided by WestJet.

Tribute artist Eric Lambier once again provided entertainment. Our record crowd enjoyed his musical talent. 


The silent auction included over 150 items, with something for everyone's interests. 


Another hightlight of the evening was the presentation by District Governor Lion Mike Tuxford  to our President Lion Grant Brown. The certificate honours the 95th charter anniversary of the club.
